The goal of the course is to convey to students the key points for implementing horizontal and vertical bone regeneration
techniques with absorbable and non absorbable membranes.
We describe the techniques step by step and show illustrative videos to clarify every detail.
The course aims to communicate essential information to students regarding the implementation of horizontal and vertical bone regeneration techniques using both absorbable and non-absorbable membranes. The methods are presented in a step-by-step manner, complemented by illustrative videos to elucidate each detail effectively.
⚪The goal of the course is to convey to students the key points for implementing horizontal and vertical bone regeneration techniques with absorbable and non absorbable membranes.
⚪GBR technique step by step.
⚪We describe the techniques step by step and show illustrative videos to clarify every detail.
⚪Understanding bone biology and the function of biomaterials and membranes.
⚪Most relevant characteristics that biomaterials must have.
⚪Main characteristics of membranes and differences among them. Resorbable vs non-resorbable membrane.
⚪Current alternatives to bone blocks: cortical split, titanium, mesh, collagen membranes, non-resorbable membranes
⚪Where are the limits of GBR?
HANDS-ON SESSIONS:
⚪Resorbable and non-resorbable membrane management, coronally
⚪Flap management, coronal reposition, and flap releasing technique, as well as suture techniques.
⚪RE-LIVE cases - presentation and discussions
⚪Q&A sessions
Implant site preservation and development is the concept of maintaining the volume and architecture of both the soft and hard tissues. It is critical to minimize tissue loss during extraction to conserve the natural ridge form and architecture for future implant placement, especially in the anterior region.
